R:TC exists for the local church. And R:TC exists for the city.
We want to be an instrument of helping others to glorify God by delighting and resting in the finished work of Christ.
We want to be a Christ-treasuring, gospel-centered, biblically faithful, trusted partner in the church’s disciple-making mission.
We aim to love people wisely and well, through the love of Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Our biblical counseling approach aims to consider the whole person. We believe that every person is made in God’s image and therefore has profound dignity. And we believe starting here really matters.
We recognize the reality that we live in a broken and fallen world which creates tremendous suffering and pain in our lives. We therefore seek to address the presenting issues and sufferings common to all, as well as the particular sufferings, challenges, and pains that are unique to particular people in their particular situation.
We also believe that all of us are sinful by nature and by experience, and our greatest problem is found within ourselves. Our deepest struggles are a result of not trusting in and not treasuring God. Therefore, our fundamental problem is a worship problem.
In order to rescue His people, Jesus, the Son of God, took on human flesh. He lived a perfect life so that He could give us His righteousness. He died on the cross to absorb God’s wrath for sinners as their substitute. Then He rose from the dead and ascended to His throne. This good news has profound implications on all of the above realities. And this is a massive part of God’s great story of redemption.
And we want to help you connect your story to God’s.
